Kai basket 2
Kai basket
After the basket of plums Mrs Rufford brought to school, our kai basket has barely spent a day empty!
The idea of the kai basket is simple really… this time of year there are so many fruit trees dripping in fruit that families often just cannot get through. So we have set up a basket where we can collect ‘kai’ that may be in excess at our houses.
So far we have had plums, apples, nectarines and we have some passion fruit waiting for us to try. If there is any fruit at your house going to waste, please bring it to Room 5. We have growing minds ready to be fueled.
We are bucket fillers!!
In Room 5 we are bucket fillers!! Not dippers…
Here is a link to a book all about it

2017!!
Welcome to our class blog for 2017!!
We had a fab first week back at school, which I’m sure will continue for rest of the year…
We started the year a little differently with some lessons on staying safe in the water. It was really challenging at times! But I was impressed how determined to give it a go everyone was!
Keep a regular eye on the class blog as there are many more updates to come.

Teach the Teacher…
Teach the teacher starts next week and as inspiration Mrs Rufford taught a lesson on making our own healthy sandwiches for our lunch boxes. We all had a go at making a sandwich. On the menu was banana sandwiches, sprout sandwiches, Marmite and cheese, Marmite and lettuce and finally, lettuce and cheese. We all tried something new and (mostly) liked it! We invited Ms Anderson for a picnic under the trees.
Good luck planning for your teach the teacher! I look forward to learning new things
