Bats…

We may not be at school today but I’m still wondering about bats!

I found this clip on you tube about the lesser short tailed bat we have been reading about in class. Can you see it scuttling along the ground like a mouse?!?

Go Tahlia!

We had lots of kids participate in Tough Guy and Gal last term and Tahlia went one step further and helped raise money for Cure Kids! Well done Tahlia!

Old School Rulers

We love measuring ourselves to see how much we are growing… especially as we are getting closer and closer to being the same height as Mrs Rufford! Thanks to Old School Ruler Height Charts who sent us one of their brand new products to have in our classroom. We love it!!

Science in the Sand pit

We had a great lunch time in the sandpit enjoying the volcano science experiment Tanner had brought along to share with us. Kids big and small had a blast building the volcano and then destroying it!

Who knows what next week’s experiment might be…

Matariki Harvest

Check out the radishes we planted at Matariki!

garden

We had a great time harvesting some of our veges and giving the garden a really good weed. The red cabbages are coming along nicely, as are the leeks and sliver beets. Not sure about the lettuces though…. Looks like we have had some very hungry snails come to visit!
